Coronavirus Best and Worst
Coronavirus best and worse is probably a strange title, but let me explain.
Coronavirus Best
Since the “lockdown” last week, things have really changed.
We are all working from home if we can and all staying indoors to help stop the spread of the virus, which is the right thing to do.
At a time when people are afraid and anxious, I have seen the best in some people.
The NHS Staff have been absolutely fantastic and we all owe them a great debt. There is talk of awarding them some kind of medal of recognition when this is all over and that would be great to see.
There are all the support staff, army, police, ambulance, fire service, local care staff and the list is endless.
A plea was put out for retired staff to come back to help and they did in their thousands. There was a plea for local volunteers to help with the vulnerable and they came out in there hundreds of thousands!
It is in these ways that we see the best in people who are trying to help their fellow man.
Even the increase in funny videos on the internet or the internet choirs singing individually, but singing together is a big boost to each of us.
Coronavirus Worst
Unfortunately, despite the situation, there are a few that this epidemic and pandemic has brought the worst out in.
Food stuff stolen from a food bank was sad to hear and reports of people who know they have the coronavirus coughing over police just trying to do their job is upsetting to hear about.
It’s best not to list too many of the bad incidents as thankfully the good totally outweigh the bad.
Anxious Times
Whatever your background, nationality, faith or views, it is an anxious time for us all.
It is the early stages for us in the UK and we really do not know what is ahead.
For the Christian, we know that God is sovereign and He has told us to trust Him and not to fear.
For those reading this, I hope you and your family are safe and remain safe throughout this uncertain time.
